Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men,
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.
Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
Up Jack got, and home did trot,
As fast as he could caper,
He went to bed to mend his head,
With vinegar and brown paper.
This leaflet contains details of support groups currently running in East Lothian, including Baby PEEP, Toddler PEEP, Bookbug, Raising Children with Confidence, Baby Massage etc.
Our own PEEP group is now full for the current block. Please speak to Mrs Gaunt if you might be interested in a group beginning after Easter. All PEEP groups are free of charge.
Hope you all had a great day. The Bears did!
We had two great parties today – one for the Morning Group and one for the Afternoon Group. We made chocolate buns yesterday for the party, and the Morning Group made cheese spread and jam sandwiches before their party started. We made our own party hats last week.
We danced, played games and ate lots of party food. Santa came to see us too, and gave us all presents! Some photos are below.
Many thanks for your very generous Christmas presents, cards and wishes. We hope you have a fabulous Christmas and that Santa is kind to you all. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday 9th January when nursery resumes.
Christmas Show Arrangements
Tuesday 20th December 2016 at 9:15 in the Gym Hall.
Both Morning Group and Afternoon Group perform together.
The Morning Group should come to nursery as normal from 8.32am.
The Afternoon Group children should be dropped off at the nursery (normal entrance) at 9:00am where staff will change them into costumes.
The show will take place in the gym hall. It will start at 9.15am and we expect to finish at approximately 9:45am. All parents, family and friends are welcome to come to the show.
At the end of the show:
* The Morning Group will return to the nursery to get changed and stay for the remaining nursery session. However, if you would like to collect your child after the show you may do so from the usual nursery door.
* The Afternoon Group will return to the nursery to get changed and must be collected from the nursery straight away.
Each child will be provided with a festive tabard to wear on the day. You will find further information about this in your child’s pigeon hole shortly.
Christmas Party Arrangements
The Christmas parties will be held during the nursery sessions on Thursday 22nd December. Santa will be visiting the Morning Group party at 11:45am and the Afternoon Group party at 2:40pm. Please come along and see your child receive their gift from Santa!
Nursery breaks up for the Christmas holidays on Thursday 22nd December and resumes on Monday 9th January 2017.
Please download the song sheet. Help your child to learn the words by singing the songs at home.
We shall begin the week by singing Twinkle, Twinkle.
Christmas begins in the nursery on Thursday 1st December! We shall be learning the songs we’ll be singing at our Christmas Show over the next 3 weeks. The show will be on Tuesday 20th December at 9:15am. Both the Morning and Afternoon Groups will join together for the show.
The words for the songs will be on a handout in your child’s pigeonhole later this week, so you can help them learn the songs at home.
