P7 have been teaching their P1 buddies about prediction. They began 2 Fridays ago when they read the story ‘Captain Duck’. They only read the first part of the story before they stopped and had to predict (guess) what might happen to Frog and Goat – they looked for clues in the story to help them to do this. The following week, the children read another part of the story before stopping and predicting what might happen to Frog now – he had fallen in to the sea! The children have worked hard and are storing their ideas in their ‘Books of Prediction’ – I’m sure they’d be able to tell you all about it at home. This Friday, we will find out what the ending will be! The suspense is palpable!
