Our Health Week will be next week and as usual there are lots of exciting and interesting activities planned for all the classes. We will all be tasting a variety of healthy foods and Primary 2 will be setting up a café and providing us all with smoothies. At break times P7 will be running a healthy tuck shop to allow children to buy a healthy snack all week. If you want your child to purchase a snack in school they will not need more than 50p. We have a whole school assembly planned for Monday – when the children will hear about how smoking affects our health. Some children will take part in some modern dance sessions and others will become ‘better movers, better thinkers!’ As a school we will be using our school grounds to be active after lunch each day. It’s a packed week that will culminate with Sports’ Day on the Friday. Please make sure your child has appropriate kit to take part. As always the children will compete as part of a team to earn points for their house. Ice cream is provided over break and parents are welcome to watch the whole morning’s event. We are still looking for volunteers to help with the scoring and organising on Friday morning, so if you are coming along and are prepared to help – please let the office staff know. We do need the support of parents – and the weather! – to make the morning a success. Thanks for your support, Frances Ramage.
