NHS Lothian Children’s Services website
NHS Lothian is working to create a new website for Children’s Services and all child health information for families living in the Lothian area. The site will focus on information for children, young people, parents, carers and families about our hospitals, clinics, treatments and conditions, etc. helping empower them with information about their health care, and reduce anxiety by giving young people a place to understand about coming to hospital for an admission, tests, or for a clinic appointment. The site will launch in 2021 and will also include information about the new Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh.
An online survey is open for children, young people and their parents and carers to help shape the design of the site by sharing feedback on some of the styles the website might take. The survey is anonymous and will only take 5-6 minutes to complete.

P1 Enrolment for August 2021
Normally parents would attend their catchment primary school to complete an enrolment form for their child for the Primary 1 (P1) intake in August 2021. Due to the current restrictions on parents/carers entering school buildings during the Covid-19 pandemic, this is not possible this year and we have to centrally allocate a place for your child based on the address currently held in their education record.
What happens next?
I would like to apply for a place at the catchment Roman Catholic (denominational) School
Please complete an online application and upload birth certificates, proof of address, baptism certificate before 31 January 2021 at:
https://eastlothianconsultations.co.uk/education/primary-one-enrolment-august-2021-application
I would like to apply for a place in a non-catchment school
You are required to make this request in writing. This can be done by downloading and completing a non-catchment placing request form, which can be obtained at: http://www.eastlothian.gov.uk/schoolenrolandplacingrequests
Moving house prior to August 2021
If you move house at any time prior to the start of the school session in August 2021, it may change the school your child is due to attend. A place awarded to a pupil based on an old address may be withdrawn. As such, it is crucial that you contact us immediately regarding any change of address by emailing schoolplacements@eastlothian.gov.uk
Further information
If you wish more information or assistance in relation to P1 places, there is lots of information on the East Lothian Council website or please do not hesitate to contact School Placements by emailing schoolplacements@eastlothian.gov.uk
