Giants!
Primary 2 and 3 had great fun today in their Youth Music Initiative Workshop with Louise. We started learning a great new song about Giants and then started composing their own song based on the Roald Dahl book, The BFG!
Here are the Giants Words for today’s song if you want to have a little practise before Monday!

For P1/2 First place went to Michael, Second place was Meagan and Third place went to Fizaa.
For P2/3 First place went to Sarah, Second place was Maja and Third place went to Connor.
For P3 First place went to Sean, Second place was Adam and Third place went to Beth.
Well done to everyone who took part!

Things to do in the Snow!
Can you measure the snow where you live?
What could you use to measure it?
Try and find a good place to measure, somewhere where the snow is undisturbed and hasn’t been covered by trees or too close to a building should be best.
Measure the snow in centimetres (cm) and make a note for bringing to school.
You can also update your measurement on Google’s Snow Survey.
If you’d like to make some beautiful snowflakes that won’t melt you can find some great ideas here.
Last of all when it’s too cold to have more fun outside you can have a little play on this indoors.
Miss Wood, Mrs Whyte, Miss Pottie and Mrs Hill are looking forward to hearing all your snow stories and seeing any pictures, snowflakes or stories you’ve made!
See you soon and keep warm!
