For the month of May all the children are using Living Street’s Travel Tracker to tell us how they have travelled to school. So far Primary 1 are the most active class with the largest number of children walking to school. Our JRSO’s will be giving classes weekly updates and there will be a certificate for the class who have the most ‘walkers.’ There will also be certificates for the most improved class – so it is not too late to get walking to school. Badges will be given out at the end of the month and these can be scanned to access fun games based around the theme of ‘walk to school.’ All you have to do is search ‘walk to school’ within the App Store or Google Play to download the app. Scan your badge and explore the content. KEEEEEEP WALKING!
Here are some pictures of the children from P1 and P2 who went to Musselburgh Library today. Enjoy your storysacks!
I hope everyone is excited for our party!
Today, in Mandarin, P3 have been learning about Chinese calligraphy. The children used special brushes, paper and “magic” water to practise writing the Chinese characters which represent numbers 1-10. Well done everyone!
Some more P1 and P1/2 children enjoyed a visit to Musselburgh Library this morning as part of Reading is Braw. Have a lovely time with your story sacks boys and girls!
This week another group of 5 Primary 1’s and 2’s visited Musselburgh Library to read for enjoyment. The children are excited to take home and explore the story sacks. Thanks again to Kathleen and Mrs Ross for taking the children to the library.
Tempest will be in school on Thursday 12th May to take class photos.
As part of Health Week primary 1 participated in a Judo taster session. It was a super morning learning about Judo and some the of the movements used in this ancient sport. We even learned a little Japanese!
