REMINDER – EVERYONE WELCOME ☕?
The date of the next LPP meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday 5th December at 6.30pm. We hope to see as many of you there as possible. We have nominations for Chairperson and Vice Chairperson so no-one will be hoodwinked into a job unless you want one ?
We only had 5 parents at the last meeting and that just isn’t enough to run a meeting or pass a vote. Please, please come along if you can or the LPP might disappear completely!
Reminder that our AGM takes place Thursday 27th, at 6.30pm. Please come along and join us. Our parent council do a great job and are always looking for people to join them. If you’re interested in how your school runs and want to make your opinions count, come along.
It’s the Loretto Parent Partnership AGM on Wednesday 19th September. Please try to come along. It’s a great opportunity to have your say in how our school is run, and a chance to meet other parents with a common interest. Some of our parent members are stepping down from their roles as their children have left Loretto, and we do need to have a certain number of parents in order to function. All welcome! Starts at 6.30pm
The LPP have proposed a few changes to their constitution. These mainly affect the amount of notice to be given in the event of a special meeting being required, and also the number of LPP members required for a meeting to be quorate.
Please take the time to read this proposed constitution – it forms a legal document. You can download it here. If you have any comments, please email the parent council before Wednesday 28th March, 2018 – after which it will be passed to ELC’s legal department.

A Carbon Fast for Lent 2017
In our parish this Lent join us in a Fast with a difference.
Every year the Church encourages us to fast as part of our Lenten observances. This year we invite you to fast in an additional way, to consider reducing your carbon (or energy) consumption, to help us be more aware of how our consumption can impact negatively on our planet and all who live on it.

We’re asking if you can please make a donation to the 2016 Christmas Fair from the following list:
• Bottles for the tombola, which can be water, juice, sauce, bubble bath, alcohol etc. Clear out the drinks cupboard and we’ll take everything that you won’t use!
• Chocolate for the tombola and hampers (boxes, bars, coins etc.)
• Nearly new or new unwanted gift sets and bric-a-brac so the children can buy a wee Christmas present for themselves, Mum, Dad or Gran & Grandad.
• Home Baking will be most gratefully received on Friday or the morning of the Fair.
• Your time is the most precious donation of all. Please let us know if you can help out on the day and email firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to Sandra. Just 15/20 minutes on a rota basis would be a great help and some parents are child swapping with a friend to help out for a short time.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
