This will be a workshop meeting to construct two interview questions to be asked on behalf of the parent body as part of the new Head Teacher recruitment process.  All parents are welcome and encouraged to come along.  If you can’t make it on Wednesday, please remember that there’s a Suggestion Box on the table at the school office for your thoughts and ideas to be posted.

Summer Fair

Friday, June 6th will be one of the busiest days of the school year. In the morning the Sports Day takes place, and everyone is welcome to come along from 9am. Staff are looking for volunteers to help out at some of the events – it’s usually nothing more than keeping count, or holding one end of a finish line! If you can help, even for 30 minutes, please either pop in to the office, or reply to this email.

Following the Sports Day, the Summer Fair will take place from 12-2 on Friday 6th. This is one of the biggest fundraising events of the year, and your support is always very welcome. We will have a large array of stalls and games, with hot food and cream teas available too.

A new event this year is the inaugural Great Loretto Bake-Off, where home baking donations can optionally be judged, with an attractive prize for the winner!

We are also looking for people to man stands and help with teas etc. for 30 minute slots of the Fair – again, please either speak to a class rep, reply to the email or pop into the office. Hope to see as many people there as possible, so spread the word.

Raffle tickets and tickets for a Loretto Cream Tea will be sold in advance, so keep an eye out for those.

Finally, the Parent Council AGM will be held on June 17th. We are always looking for more people to get involved, so if you’d like to find out more, please come along.

Winter Fair! Friday 29th Nov 12.15-2.30

The Parent Council would like to invite you along to the School Winter  Fair – this will be held directly after school on Friday 29th November between 12.15pm-2.30pm.

Thanks you all for your donations to date – we’ll have stalls for baking, books, crafts, gifts, tombolas etc. and the children are putting a lot of effort into making Christmas crafts for the fair. As well as that we’ll have games, mulled wine, teas and coffees.

We are welcoming all donations of good quality toys, gifts and books. There was a great response to the last home baking day and it would be great to have another stall bursting at the seams, so please drop in donations for this stall on the day itself.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible, please spread the word!
