A feasibility consultation document has now been prepared and a feasibility consultation has commenced.

LPP AGM Weds 19th September

It’s the Loretto Parent Partnership AGM on Wednesday 19th September. Please try to come along. It’s a great opportunity to have your say in how our school is run, and a chance to meet other parents with a common interest. Some of our parent members are stepping down from their roles as their children have left Loretto, and we do need to have a certain number of parents in order to function. All welcome!  Starts at 6.30pm

September weekend

Just a reminder to all, that school and nursery are closed Friday 14th September and Monday 17th September. Remember the school photographer will be coming in on Tuesday 18th September to take individual and sibling photos. Enjoy the holiday!

Family Learning Friday this week!

Our next Family Learning Friday workshop is this week, on Friday, 18th May. This will be a Maths workshop, run by Mrs. Rice and Mrs. Ramage.

The workshop will begin at 11am and end at approximately 11.30am,  and takes place in the P3 classroom.

We hope to see you there!

Draft Consultation on School Term Dates 2019/20

The consultation on School Session Dates for 2019/2020 will be open on the Council’s Consultation Hub from Tuesday 27 March 2018 until Friday 4 May 2018.  This consultation on the draft school session dates for 2019/2020 aims to seek stakeholder views – please take the time to have a look and comment.  Our neighbouring authorities, City of Edinburgh Council and Midlothian Council have set, or are in the process of setting, their session dates and these dates are available on the respective websites.  The East Lothian Council draft dates for 2019/2020 have taken cognisance of our neighbouring authority dates and very much align with City of Edinburgh Council dates.

Proposed Changes to the LPP Constitution

The LPP have proposed a few changes to their constitution. These mainly affect the amount of notice to be given in the event of a special meeting being required, and also the number of LPP members required for a meeting to be quorate.

Please take the time to read this proposed constitution – it forms a legal document. You can download it here. If you have any comments, please email the parent council before Wednesday 28th March, 2018 – after which it will be passed to ELC’s legal department.

Thanks
