Lateness and Absence

Please ensure your child arrives at school in plenty of time for the school bell – lateness causes disruption to the rest of the class and often causes the child themself to become anxious. Lateness is recorded and monitored. Should your child arrive at school after their class’ line has gone in, they should present themself at the school office so they can be registered, and we know they are safely in the building.

Should your child be unwell and unable to attend school, please phone us before 9.30am to inform us. There is a voicemail system available for you to leave a message. If we do not hear from you by this time, the school office are obliged to telephone you to ascertain the reason for your child’s absence. All school attendance is recorded and monitored.

If your child has to be taken out of school for a planned absence, please inform us in writing. An email will suffice, but we do need a record of it. Thank you.
