Paper doll fun in P1/2

Primary 1/2 have been enjoying reading the books which have been short-listed for The Scottish Book Trust awards. The Paper Dolls by Julia Donaldson inspired the children to make their own dolls. We then took the dolls on an adventure to a castle in our stories.
Today the children took their paper dolls home to continue their adventures! Watch this space to find out what their paper dolls get up to!

P2/3 Sandwich Shop

P2/3 were making sandwiches with ham, cheese and cucumber. We had to work out how much it cost and then calculate the change from 10p, 20p, 50p or £1.
Lauren said, ‘It was good and I worked out how much change I needed’
Sean said ‘I really liked when we made the sandwiches and got money to pay at the till’

Full Moon

P2/3 are learning about the Sun, Moon and the stars, as part of this topic we are observing the moon over a number of weeks and noting what we see. Last night we observed that there was a full moon. This is a picture of it from my house.
