Viking Talks
As part of their project pupils had to research an area within the Vikings, and present their findings to the class as a two minute talk. The standard of work was exceedingly high and it was clear that great effort had been put into the research and visual aids. The talks were informative and interesting, and we all learnt lots of new things. Huge well done to you all.
Vikings and Long-Ships
As part of our topic work we made Viking people. We drew around each other and then painted them, using books to help us know what they looked like and wore.
We also made our own Viking helmets. Here’s some pictures of the class as scary Vikings.
Using the bottles and cartons that were collected we each made a Viking long-ship. We covered the bottles and cartons in paper-mache, then when they had dried we painted them brown. Finally we added a sail and dragons’ heads and tails to scare off our enemies.
