P7 went to a football tournament this week. We tried hard, despite the weather and all got a medal for our effort.

Thank you to all the parents who helped at the Macmillan Coffee Morning. P5/6 raised £662 and we are really grateful for all your generous donations. Thank you to all who came and enjoyed the morning.

On the 20th of June Primary P6/7 made a trip to Winton Woods to meet up with Pencaitland where they did all sorts of fun activities like discovering wild life and teaming up with the other Pencaitland pupils. A great time was had by all!
Macmerry Primary School has been working on their fitness by running round the Haddington Football team pitch as many times as they can do and some have been working on their sprinting.
The JRSO’s have decided that instead of walking to Macmerry Primary that we will take part by getting off the bus at St Mary’s school and walking to Haddington Infant School Annexe. We are all parking and striding and think our parents are super by making such an eco friendly commitment by using the school bus and not driving us there in lots of cars. At assembly the Junior Road Safety Officers announced a design a Bright Bus competition.
We have eventually managed to upload our photos from our science week.
The pupils of Macmerry Primary took part in a wide range of activities including workshops presented by Generation Science. The children have been working on a wide range of different science topics including floating and sinking, electricity and the human body. The P6/7 pupils also prepared presentations for the rest of the school on the importance of washing our hands.
