May I thank you all for all your good wishes, cards, flowers and kindness today, my last day with you at Macmerry Primary. I have had a very happy time here and am going on to my new post very proud of the children and the school. A very happy Christmas to you all and my very best wishes for the continued success and achievements of Macmerry Primary.

A huge thank you to everyone for taking part in Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. We raised £124 which, as part of the registered scheme, will be matched by the government. Many thanks for your generosity and kindness to other children at this time of year. And we all looked fabulous and were nice and warm on a snowy day!

To try and avoid too much disappointment we have decided today, to postpone the Sports Day tomorrow Thursday 5th June. Even if there is a tropical heat wave tomorrow morning, so much water has fallen on our grass it would not be possible to hold the sports. We will hold the Sports Day on Friday 13th June at 9am instead, again weather permitting. If we cannot go ahead that day we will just go for it on the first available day in the school timetable.
Sorry but the weather is against us!
Just a quick but big thank- you to everyone who came along, helped or supported the PTA Fayre today. We were so lucky to have such beautiful day and to see so many people there. Special thanks to the PTA for organising such a great day. Lots of fun and a super figure raised of £ 750.

We are looking forward to seeing parents and friends at our children’s Christmas Market. The children have been learning about money and enterprise skills whilst making crafts to sell. Each class has a slot so do come along with your child’s class and of course enjoy a cuppa too. The market opens at 10am.
The total is in and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their generosity, The children counted up the money and Mrs Guiney has paid it in for us .A real life example of learning about money-in this our Money week.
Well done to all the Pudsey and me drawing competition winners too!
Join in the fun this Friday. Wear your pyjamas or onesies to school for a donation of £1 to Children in Need. You can also pay 20p for a Pudsey and Me drawing competition. This week the proceeds of our Healthy Tuck Shop will be donated to Children in Need.
The Pupil Council will collect your donations at assembly on Friday morning.
The school photographer will be in school on Tuesday 5th November to take individual and family group photos. This includes the nursery children whom she will take first. We will try our best to keep the children clean and tidy till they have had their photo taken by keeping them off the grass.
The rooms are finally packed up and the kids are currently abseiling. A few sleepy heads this morning. All in all-a super time and looking foward to seeing you all about 3pm.
