Parental Engagement Strategy 2017 – Evaluation surveys

Please find attached a link to the Parental Engagement Strategy 2017 evaluation survey.  We are seeking responses to help us to evaluate the impact of the six strands of the strategy for schools, parent council members and the wider parent forum.  The full Strategy document is available at https://www.eastlothian.gov.uk/downloads/download/12712/parental_engagement_strategy

This survey http://links.edubuzz.org/pestrategysurveyforparents is for completion by your Parent Forum and I would ask that the link is shared via Groupcall with all parents and is placed on your school website as soon as possible.

The survey will be open for completion until Friday 22nd February, 2019.  Parents only need to complete one survey if they have multiple children at your school, but will need to complete more than one survey for children at different schools.  The survey results will be collated on a school basis which will be shared with the HT and Chair of the Parent Council to support any actions arising shortly after the closure of the surveys.

Many thanks

On 12 June 2018 a paper was presented to Cabinet seeking approval to undertake a feasibility study and consultation on the introduction of a Common Secondary School Day and potential resultant benefits for Primary education. A feasibility consultation document has now been prepared and a feasibility consultation has commenced.

East Lothian Council Education Service would like to hear your views on the feasibility consultation, which will run until Sunday 11 November.

More information can be found, along with an online survey, on the Consultation Hub by following the link below:
