What we are learning in P2/3

P2/3 have been working on their topic the Seashore and Habitats. We have been looking in books and on the internet to find out information. We have found out about sea creatures living in shells. You can find them in rockpools. We learned that anemones usually but not always live in warmer water. We even practised our handwriting in a fishy theme.

We had lots of fun learning about the environment at Newhailes. We went to the book festival too and met Julia Donaldson and a Gruffalo. What a great start to P2/3.

What P.4/5 have been doing this week

This has been a busy week for Ms. Murphy’s P.4/5 class.  They have been doing art work for book covers, learning about spines, ISBN numbers and how to write a blurb on the back cover. They have also been busy doing maths learning about digits and all about zero. The class also enjoyed going to The Book Festival, listening to the author and buying books at the end before coming back to school.
