School College Partnership (SCP) Courses

Are you thinking of studying at college whilst you are still at school?  If so, then one of the School College Partnership courses could be for you!  Edinburgh College offers a range of opportunities for S4-S6 pupils wishing to attend college on a part time basis whilst still at school. These courses can provide pupils with a range of educational opportunities and specialist subjects that can be added into their existing timetable, all of which have clear progression routes to full time college courses.

Foundation Apprenticeships allow pupils to gain an industry recognised qualification by attending college 2 afternoons a week alongside an employer led work placement. Foundation Apprenticeships are available in Financial Services, IT&Digital Services and Engineering at SCQF Level 6.

For further information on any of these courses which form part of the Schools College Provision, and to discuss your suitability, speak to your Guidance Teacher, Careers Adviser or contact the Schools College Partnership Team for more details.

The Introduction to College courses at Milton Road, Granton, Sighthill and Midlothian are for young people working at SCQF level 3 or 4 who are receiving extra support at School. The course runs for a full day for 18 weeks from September to January or January to June.

For more information contact your guidance teacher/support for learning teacher  or speak to your school careers adviser.

For pupils who may not be considered for mainstream college courses, Edinburgh College offer a range of flexible approach to learning based qualifications and experience. Pupils have the opportunity to learn new skills and complete work placements.
