School College Partnership (SCP) Courses
Are you thinking of studying at college whilst you are still at school? If so, then one of the School College Partnership courses could be for you! Edinburgh College offers a range of opportunities for S4-S6 pupils wishing to attend college on a part time basis whilst still at school. These courses can provide pupils with a range of educational opportunities and specialist subjects that can be added into their existing timetable, all of which have clear progression routes to full time college courses.
South East Scotland Academies Programme (SESAP)
Also available is the Academies Programme which smoothes the transition between school, college, university and employment. This is a partnership initiative between Edinburgh College and local Universities which is designed to improve pupils’ prospects of moving on to further or higher education and boosts employability through a programme of work experience with industry experts.
Foundation Apprenticeships allow pupils to gain an industry recognised qualification by attending college 2 afternoons a week alongside an employer led work placement. Foundation Apprenticeships are available in Financial Services, IT&Digital Services and Engineering at SCQF Level 6.
