Message to Pupils from the Head Teacher

There is no doubt that this is a very strange day for all of us. We do not know when school will open again so, for some of you, this may be your last day at North Berwick High School. I am very sorry that your school career has ended so suddenly in this way – it is not what anyone would have wished for you.

For those of you who will be coming back to the High School when it reopens, being away from your classmates, your teachers and your school day routines will be challenging. However, it is vital that public health takes priority at this time. I am sure you will all understand that.

While school may be closing at 12 o’clock today, your learning will continue. Keep being curious and diligent with your learning, knowing that your teachers will continue to support you – albeit through technology rather than face to face. Keep being kind to everyone around you – we are going to need lots of kindness over the coming months. Most of all, know that you still belong to the North Berwick High School community, even if we are not together in the building.

Take care

Mrs Rodger
