National Healthcare Careers Weekend and Partnering with Medic Mentor
16 & 17 June at the University at Stirling
Hundreds of healthcare professionals from across the UK will be volunteering to present and network with pupils who are interested in:
- Veterinary Medicine
- All proceeds are used to support healthcare students with scholarships, elective bursaries, free training and educational initiatives.
- Pupils can register on the Medic Mentor website (medicmentor.org) and find out more about the events here.
- Registration is £25 for pupils on the Saturday conferences and there is an optional UCAS lecture available on Sunday for each specialty.
- It is a highly valuable opportunity for pupils to network with a variety of healthcare professions, learn about work experience opportunities and how to make a successful application.

VIKS Nursing Insight Day Saturday 28th April 2018
This is an event for students (S3-S6) who are interested in a career in nursing.
Pupils who are interested in a career in nursing are invited to attend this event, which is being held at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh on Saturday 28 April, from 9:30am – 3:30pm.
This full day event will give pupils an insight into nursing as a career. Nursing staff will be on hand, delivering presentations and practical workshops to pupils.
Pupils who attend will receive a certificate of attendance to keep.
This event is sponsored and organised by Vision in Kids (VIKS) charity, committed to improving the career opportunities for school pupils.
