About the PTA

The purpose of the Parent Teacher Association is to support school activities and fundraise for the benefit of the pupils. The PTA is a charitable body which relies on volunteering from staff, parents, carers and students of the High School.

The PTA have a presence at many school-based events during the year. You’ll see them providing information at parent evenings and open days, and during school concerts they organise and manage the sale of refreshments and raffles. They also organise and host a Burns Supper each year for senior pupils and their parents.

In addition to supporting school events, the PTA run their own fundraising events. For example, they have held a “Fizz and Fancies Afternoon Tea” at The Hope Rooms, which was a wonderful sell-out event.

The PTA also run a cash prize draw, and promote and manage the use of the online “Easyfundraising” shopping website. More details about how to participate are shown on the PTA Monthly Prize Draw and How You Can Help pages.
