Solar Eclipse

Pupils, Staff and Parents watched the Solar Eclipse today. We used pinhole projectors, telescopes and cameras with special lenses, safety glasses and even colanders to view the eclipse safely.

We noticed lots of different things while we were outside. It got darker and a lot colder while the Moon was in front of the Sun. There was also more wind.

Thank you very much to Kirsty Nicol for sending us these fantastic photos that she took on the day.

  1. A fantastic day! Thank you for sharing it with it with the younger ones, parents, grandparents and relatives. It was a great glimpse into what Ormiston Primary School offers.
