Citizenship Fortnight.

Indian DanceOur classes took part in Indian Dance workshops today to celebrate the culture of India. We have all been learning about India over the last two weeks. Each class has to complete and send something to do with Scotland to a link school in India. P4/5 have been learning a Scottish Country Dance and completing powerpoints about the Scottish New Year.
Here is our Indian Dance from today’s session.

Fairtrade Fortnight

Primary 4/5 have been learning about the Scottish Wars of Independence. We hope to publish what we have found out on the blog soon. Our next topic is about Fairtrade. We are going to use Google maps to see just how many food miles some foods take to get to our shops in the U.K

School Inspection Report

At last we can share our good news with parents regarding the visit from HMI in November. We had great feedback from them at the end of the inspection week but it’s good to finally see it in black and white. Thank you to the many comments received on the blog and by email from parents and teaching colleagues.

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments about our Christmas show. I think the children worked very hard in a short space of time and the singing was lovely!

If you didn’t manage to come along, here are some photos of the show.
