Josephine our dental health support worker brought Crunchy the crocodile into the nursery for a visit. We all had a turn at brushing Crunchy’s teeth and Josephine read us a nice story. We all received a lovely present of a new toothbrush and toothpaste. Here are some photographs of the visit.
Look at what the Nursery pupils have been learning about. They have been trying out some Chinese customs for the Chinese New Year. Look how easy they make using chopsticks!

Sadly one of the magnificent Chestnut trees from the main street had to be taken down. However the council tree fellers very kindly used the trunk to make the nursery and school some seats which are out in the playground for the children to enjoy.
In the nursery we have been following a harvest theme. We have a harvest display with combines, tractors, trailors etc and a DVD made by a member of staff showing how all these vehicles work while cutting a field. we provided a mortor and pestle so the children could try to grind wheat into flour. We made bread for snack and also tried various cereals using different kinds of grain.
