To finish our ‘Pirate’ topic we had a party in the nursery. We invited the primary 1 class who also were learning about pirates as their ‘People in the Past’ topic. We invited special guests Mrs Gardyne, Captain Redpatch (Mrs Redpath), Mrs Powlett and Miss Kinghorn. We dressed up, played pirate games in the gym hall, had pirate grub on the treasure island, listened to a pirate story and then danced to ‘Just Dance’ pirate music. It was great fun!

We’re learning some French words in Primary 1. We can say, “Bonjour,” and ask each other how we feel.

Last week everyone in Primary 1 painted a picture of themself in their school uniform. We had lots of fun painting the pictures and had to think carefully about which colours to use.
When the paintings were dry Miss Jack cut them out and put them on our classroom wall. They look fantastic!

Look who’s started big school!
It’s lovely to welcome back all of our pupils at the start of our new school year and to hear all of the stories of what they’ve been up to over the holidays.
