Christmas CD

Ms McDonald the school music teacher has been working hard with all classes to prepare them for recording some Christmas songs onto a school cd. Not only will there be singing but musicians playing recorders and brass instruments. The day of recording will be 17th November just in time to sell copies for Christmas Presents. So if you would like a copy look out for the order form coming shortly or contact the school. Check out the school email and phone number on our Contacts page.

The pupils also got to enter a competition to design the cover for the cd and they anxiously await the judges decision. I would not like to be the one who decides as the entries were amazing!

Primrose Day Centre Visit

Primary four are working hard on their programme of entertainment for the visitors from the Ormiston local day centre.

The Primrose Day Centre have accepted an invitation to visit the school on Monday 25th of June.

Our guests enjoyed the visit last year and are keen to come to meet the pupils once again.

They will be entertained through song, poetry, recorder playing, joke telling and bingo.

P7 Camp Visit

School will be very quiet this week as Primary Seven pupils leave on Monday morning for school camp.

Mrs Ross, Ms Howat, Mrs Redpath and Ms Kinghorn are accompanying 31 pupils to Dounans Outdoor Education Centre till Friday.

This will give the children an opportunity to meet other P7 pupils moving up to the Ross High School in the new session.

We wish them well and hope the weather improves for the visit.

Stage Fright

Primary Seven are counting the days till the 4th of May when their film is premiered at the Edinburgh Filmhouse on Lothian Road in the capital.

The film ‘Stage Fright’ was entirely scripted and produced by themselves.

Invitations for the first screening have been sent out for the 4th of May. This is to be followed by an aftershow party.
