Ms McDonald the school music teacher has been working hard with all classes to prepare them for recording some Christmas songs onto a school cd. Not only will there be singing but musicians playing recorders and brass instruments. The day of recording will be 17th November just in time to sell copies for Christmas Presents. The pupils also got to enter a competition to design the cover for the cd and they anxiously await the judges decision. I would not like to be the one who decides as the entries were amazing!
Anti-Bullying week highlights how a pupil should deal with a problem in school and whom to speak to if he or she needs help.
Primary four are working hard on their programme of entertainment for the visitors from the Ormiston local day centre.
The Primrose Day Centre have accepted an invitation to visit the school on Monday 25th of June.
Our guests enjoyed the visit last year and are keen to come to meet the pupils once again.
They will be entertained through song, poetry, recorder playing, joke telling and bingo.
School will be very quiet this week as Primary Seven pupils leave on Monday morning for school camp.
Mrs Ross, Ms Howat, Mrs Redpath and Ms Kinghorn are accompanying 31 pupils to Dounans Outdoor Education Centre till Friday.
This will give the children an opportunity to meet other P7 pupils moving up to the Ross High School in the new session.
We wish them well and hope the weather improves for the visit.
Primary Seven are looking forward to visiting the Ross High School. They will follow a timetable over the two days they are there. We look forward to hearing their comments on the website.

Primary Seven are counting the days till the 4th of May when their film is premiered at the Edinburgh Filmhouse on Lothian Road in the capital.
The film ‘Stage Fright’ was entirely scripted and produced by themselves.
Invitations for the first screening have been sent out for the 4th of May. This is to be followed by an aftershow party.
May Day holiday is on Monday 7th May followed by an Inservice day for staff on the Tuesday.
Children return to school as normal on Wednesday the 9th.
Help the Eco group to collect old shoes, bags, hats, belts, towels, curtains and bed linen.
Bring your unwanted items to school in a black bag with a label saying Rag Bag Appeal on Wednesday the 28th of March.
School is open on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th for parent consultations between 6.00pm and 8.30pm.
