Outdoors

We have been outside learning about the trees in the woods. We were able to identify sycamore, oak, horse chestnut and beech. When we came back inside we made line drawings of some of the leaves we found.

Outdoor collecting and sorting

As part of our information handling work we worked outside this afternoon to collect data (sticks, stones, leaves etc) and sorted it into categories using tables and carroll diagrams.

The Everest Challenge

We have been learning about Mount Everest and the Nepal earthquakes today. Each group was set the challenge of making a model of Mount Everest which let us know about some of the science of how it was formed.
