What have we got up to this week? Read on.

Well it’s been another packed week. We had spelling as usual (using cubes), writing (creating 100 word stories for a competition) and had a maths cooperative group challenge to make a clock which could tell any time of the day, out of just card and various junk items. Our dance rehearsals also continued.   More exciting was when June from Amisfield garden in Haddington came in to the class to talk to us about what the garden does. We had an A-Z of what we could find in the garden. We will get the chance to go and do some gardening on Friday afternoons and lots of us thought that would be fun. We also watched the “Danger Is Everywhere” Authors Live on Glow. The author and the illustrator were really funny. We now know how to distract a rampaging polar bear (with card tricks!) And we also adopted a tree in the woods near the school fence. We had to measure it, look for signs of wildlife on it, do bark and leaf rubbings and sketch it. We will watch our tree as it changes over the course of the year.

Well P5 – looks like a fun week! Did anyone else get as muddy as Michael on Thursday?! I’d love to see you all doing the dances…
