After our project on The Solar System earlier in the year, this was an ideal opportunity to observe a real Solar event.
We set up a pair of binoculars in the classroom to project an image of the eclipse onto a screen where we could observe it safely. Below are images of this projection captured during the eclipse:
We also used a pin-hole in a piece of cardboard to create our own images, but these were much smaller than the one created by the binoculars.
That looks great P6. It’s a great thing to have experienced. It’s peculiar to feel the air go suddenly cold. Did you notice that the birds stop singing?
