These talks will take place during the 2 weeks 6th – 18th June.  The exact days and times will be available in advance to allow for props etc. to be prepared and brought in.

The talk should be between 3 and 5 minutes long and can be on a subject of your choice, although this must be agreed with me before.  You may not use any form of computer presentation (e.g. Powerpoint).

You will be assessed by other children as well as by me.  You will be assessed on:

  • Volume
  • Clarity
  • Audience contact
  • Talk content

Party Bag Pot Luck

Hopefully you can make it along to the PPS Family Funday from 3:00 – 5:00 on Saturday 28th May (with a 70s disco to follow from 5:00 – 7:00).  One of the stalls this year will be a party bag pot luck, with bags costing £1!

Now we need your help.  Please put some items in the red bag to make a nice surprise package for a child to buy.  Then just tape it up and return it to school by 20th Mayfor us to add to the stall.  (Try to include the sort of items that you would like your child to receive!)

Our targets are for everyone in the class to achieve a Bronze certificate (1000 points) and for the class to finish top in the cluster.

Each group will be doing a presentation to the rest of the class about their planet/the moon in the week before the October break. There will be time in class to put the presentation together and rehearse. However, any research that can be done at home would be very beneficial to the group. Any images can be emailed to me for printing or to use on a Powerpoint (either email the image or the website).

This is the last weekend for research – you will be preparing your presentations next week in class.

Each group will be doing a presentation to the rest of the class about their planet/the moon in the week before the October break.  There will be time in class to put the presentation together and rehearse.  However, any research that can be done at home would be very beneficial to the group.  Any images can be emailed to me for printing or to use on a Powerpoint (either email the image or the website).

There are Maths tasks set on Studyladder which we will continue to use until Mathletics is up and running. I am aware of some issues with Studyladder last week but these seem to be with the reading tasks.

SPELLING

Spelling words are in your homework jotter and should be learnt for a spelling test on Friday. Spelling can be learnt by any method.
