P7 Transition Day

The P7s had a great time today taking part in a variety of activities as part of the Dunbar cluster transition programme.

They spent the morning at Lochend Campus following a timetable and moving rooms to take part in a number of different subjects. They included Health & Wellbeing, Expressive Arts, Maths, English, Science, ICT, Social Studies & Modern Languages.

Everyone had lunch together and then headed to Dunbar Grammar School for a sports afternoon. We had hoped to be outside for some of the sports but the weather wasn’t on our side!

Road Safety Performance

Road Safety Scotland commissioned Theatre & Learning to visit selected schools across Scotland with a Road Safety performance and workshop for P7 students.

Focusing on road safety, the performance & workshop explored the common factors relating to the consequences of irresponsible behaviour and brought to life the serious issues young people face on our roads.  The performers commented on the wonderful behaviour and mature contributions from the P7 year group.

P7 Risk Factory Reminder

P7A (Miss Robertson) and P7B (Mrs Edwards) will be visiting on the morning of Monday 27th April.  They need to leave at 8.30am due to traffic so we would be grateful if you could allow your child to come to school for 8.15am.  The P7 doors will be opened at this time.

P7C (Miss Eunson) and P7D (Miss Herkes) will be visiting on the afternoon of Monday 27th April.  We will arrive back at approximately 3.45pm and pupils will be dismissed at this time.  If this is an issue please let the class teacher know.

All P7 pupils require a packed lunch on this day.  A packed lunch will be ordered for your child if they receive free school meals.

P7 April / May Revision Pack

Dear Parent / Carer

In the last term of Primary 7 we encourage all pupils to take more responsibility for furthering their own learning. In addition to our regular reading and spelling homework tasks, we have provided a differentiated maths revision pack full of consolidation activities. As an Eco School, we have decided to make this an electronic resource that pupils can access on the P7 School Blog. Please note that we can provide a paper copy of this resource if required.

This is an optional revision pack but we recommend that children are encouraged to complete as many sections as possible.

This pack includes work covered in Primary 6 and 7. Your child will be advised which pack would be most beneficial for them to work through. If your child encounters difficulty while working through any of the activities please do not be concerned as we will be revising all topics after the Easter holidays.

The intention of this pack is that of a home revision resource and it need not be returned to school for marking.

You will find the resource under the heading ‘Easter Revision Pack’ at the top of the page.  We hope that your child finds the pack useful.

Kind regards,

The Primary 7 Team
