P7 Profile

Your child will bring home a letter today with more information about their P7 profile.

As P7 pupils prepare to move from primary to secondary school they will be adding to their personal profile throughout the year.  All pupils have been shown how to access and edit their profile.  Your child now has a username and password and is ready to go!

Their homework task is to log in and discuss their profile with someone at home.

You can take a look at some Parentzone Scotland resources to see examples of P7 profiles: http://www.educationscotland.gov.uk/parentzone/learninginscotland/assessment/profiling/p7/index.asp

If you have any questions about the P7 profile please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or Miss Eeles on 01368 860 997.

P7 Construction Workshop

P7’s had a great time today during their construction workshop. Their mission was to devise a plan and construct a 4m by 4m tetrahedron. P7 started by building individual tetrahedrons and then worked as a team to join them together to make one giant tetrahedron!

During the workshop, P7 got an inside look into the day to day work of a construction company – from the designing, ordering materials, employing outside agencies, carrying out risk assessments to constructing new buildings.

This activity links to our World of Work programme looking at skills for learning, life & work. Look out for more information coming on Friday 27th Nov about our P7 World of Work event in February 2016.

The other half of P7 will take part in the construction workshop in January 2016.

Have a look at some of our construction photos.

VE Day Celebration!

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the parents, carers & grandparents for coming along today to share VE Day with us! It was such a wonderful turnout and the children were excited to share their learning with you all.

We hope you enjoyed the assembly and having a chance to view the children’s WWII work.
