We have been learning a lot this year about staying healthy. Mr Cain has been teaching us about the dangers of smoking, drinking and taking drugs. We have also learned about the things that make up a healthy diet. We have had to make our families a healthy meal at home as part of our homework. As part of all this today the class went up to Ross High to do some healthy cooking with some of the older high school pupils. We were split into 2 groups but both lots of us made the same thing – yummy bannana and chocolate chip muffins. The Ross High pupils helped us measure out, mix and use the hot ovens. It was great to see Ross High and do something as fun as cooking. We hope everything will be that fun when we go up next year. The older pupils were very friendly and chatted to us as we worked. They weren’t as scary as we thought. We all made about 12 muffins to take home or eat later. [nggallery id=52]
