The Ruthless Romans visit Pencaitland!

[rockyou 153549205]

P2/3 welcomed their family and friends to their classroom this morning to an exhibition of their Romans work. The children have worked in small groups and pairs for the last 6 weeks and have completed a huge array of art work, artefacts and even built time machines to travel back 2000 years and meet a real Roman family. Parents were treated to a guided tour of the classroom, listened to the children sing and even sampled some Roman foods and drink. Everybody had a great time and should be very proud of their acheivements.

  1. The best thing I did was making the Roman masks. I really liked today, it was the best day ever!! I liked the food best.

  2. Well done everyone! I thoroughly enjoyed a very informative tour of some fantastic artwork. Your enthusiasm was catching!
Can you do maths using Roman numerals?

  3. Thank you to Harvey for leading me round and telling me all about the Romans. You all looked wonderful and I was amazed that you only took one day to learn such a diffucult Roman song.
Well done to all of you.

  4. Well done to all the P2/P3s and Mrs Ranyard. What a great morning I had on Thursday past. There was so much work to see I was glad that we had a list to tick off! It was clear to see that everyone had really enjoyed learning about the Romans. Grace was very excited showing me all the different things she had worked on. I was amazed at the paintings of Circus Maximus and the goblets. My favourite item had to be the time machine though. Imagine our delight when we were able to take it home for a few days!
