We are holding a Health and Wellbeing Curriculum Evening in school for parents and carers on Wednesday 9th March from 6.30-8.30pm.
The event is aimed at providing information for all parents and carers on the content and delivery of Health and Wellbeing in the curriculum. Specific year groups are targeted for individual teacher talks as we have a statutory duty to inform parents of the resources and programmes at these levels within Health and Wellbeing e.g. Sex Education
Following feedback from the last curriculum evening where some people felt there was too much content we decide to limit the amount of direct talks and give more opportunity for you to browse resources and speak to staff.
We are also pleased to have some visitors attending from within East Lothian Council who will add to the variety of information and knowledge to be shared through this event.
The evening will begin with an overview of the Health & Wellbeing principles and practices for all parents and carers in the hall and will be followed by a series of talks for parents on particular subjects and an opportunity for you to browse resources, ask questions and find out more information about the curriculum and different services that support the delivery of Health and Wellbeing (please see plan below)
We intend to have a question and answer wall on the evening to try to address any concerns or queries, which you may have about this area, we would ask you to send any questions in before the event and we will post the answers on our Q & A wall.
If you have any questions about the above event please do not hesitate to get in touch, we hope to see as many of you there as possible.
