What’s been happening in school this week…?

This week in the nursery we read “The Billy Goats Gruff” and made bridges using different materials. We started our water wall and we posted letters to each other using our new post box. We have also been learning how to control the Beebots with Mrs Millar.

Primary 1B

P1B enjoyed learning to play the triangle in music with Mrs Davies. Ting-ting!

Primary 1R

Four new sounds to write and remember this week and tricky thinking required using a number track. It’s hard counting backwards! We loved making play dough and getting messy when printing with potatoes and tractor tyres!

To practise using scissors we cut out animal pictures to put in the fields of our farm.

Primary 2

This week Primary 2 have been making really exciting dinosaur fact files full of lots of information.

Primary 3

Salut! This week in P3 we have started having short conversations in French daily, focusing on greetings. This will become a normal part of our day and extend to daily interactions in French about what we’re doing. We have also been focusing on reading and have coped really well with our book related tasks. Au revoir!

Primary 4

Primary 4 have been learning about letter writing. This week we wrote to P3 telling them about all the changes that have happened in P4.  We made a long list of all the changes such as swimming lessons, learning to play the recorder, paying for lunch, lunch rota and our topics.  We look forward to hearing what P3 think about our ideas.

Primary 5

We have started learning about solid, liquids and gases and doing experiments to test the viscosity of liquids.

Primary 6

Primary 6’s have been making Wanted posters linked to their class novel “Holes” which they are currently reading. They have also being working on converting measurements into mm’s, cm’s and m’s.

Primary 7

P7 visited the Sky Academy yesterday in Livingston to make a news report.  Full details, pictures and the finished report can be seen on the P7 blog at https://edubuzz.org/p7pps.
