Sadness and smiles
Erica Burberry, Parent Council Chair, surprised Pauline McKay today – presenting her with flowers on behalf of the parent council and wider parent / carer body.
We want to thank you for being such a special part of Pencaitland and bringing such a lot of smiles to the faces of all in it’s community, families, staff – and most importantly, our children.
We are very grateful for all you’ve done in such a short time.
Pauline stepped in as Acting Head Teacher for this term, as ELC recruited a new Head Teacher, and created a wonderful atmosphere for all – a seasoned Head of Campie Primary in Musselburgh, she steadied the school through the first term of the 2019/20 session with grace, good humour, great leadership and capturing hearts on the way.
The Parent Council decided we would like to start off Pauline’s last week at PPS in a lovely positive way –

and presented Pauline with a bouquet in the playground, where her warm smiles and greetings to children and families have been much appreciated. We are delighted that there will be a working relationship between Campie and Pencaitland going forward and we know PPS will have a warm spot in Pauline’s heart when she returns to Musselburgh after the October break. We certainly hope “ye’ll aye come back and see us!”
