P5-7 King Loth Performance Day

Just a note for parents and carers to remind you that P5-7 are performing King Loth this coming Monday 21st March.  There are still a few tickets available for the morning performance at 11.00am, please contact the school office if you would like one.  All pupils should bring a packed lunch to school on that day, this will assist with turn around and set up for lunches as they are using part of the dinner hall for their performance.

Thank you

Comic Relief – Friday 18th March

P6 are organising our Comic Relief fundraising this year.  They will be selling red noses around the classes on Wednesday and Thursday this week at a cost of £1 and Friday 18th March will be a dress down day where any Comic Relief costumes will be acceptable (e.g wear your pyjamas, wear something red, no school uniform etc) with a  50p donation for taking part.  During the morning the pupils will take part in different activities organised by P6 which include Crazy Golf, Geocaching and an Assault Course.  We look forward to putting up the pictures to show you the fun we had and to sharing our total money raised for this worthwhile charity.

King Loth Tickets

All tickets for the afternoon performance of King Loth on Monday 21st March have now gone, but there are still some left for the Dress Rehearsal in the morning at 11.00am.  If you would like another ticket then please get in touch with the school.  These will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

Collecting Tesco Vouchers

Tesco have begun their vouchers for schools and clubs this week and will be issuing them until May.  We will be collecting them at school and hope to put them to good use by swapping them for a range of products which could include ICT, sports and health equipment, gardening and outdoor equipment, art and craft materials.

We need a lot of vouchers to get any of the items so ask friends, neighbours and relatives if they will donate theirs too!

We will have a box at the school office where you can drop them off or ask your child to hand them in.

Changing Faces Donation

Isla handed over a cheque for £235.56 to Gareth from the Changing Faces charity at assembly this morning.  The money had been raised through donations at the Christmas Concert, end of term assembly and staff chose to make a donation instead of buying Christmas cards to send within school.  P7 chose the charity after finding out some information about the work that it does to support people in the UK who have disfigurements to the face, hands or body.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated and enabled us to hand over such a large sum of money.

Health and Wellbeing Curriculm Evening

We are holding a Health and Wellbeing Curriculum Evening in school for parents and carers on Wednesday 9th March from 6.30-8.30pm.

The event is aimed at providing information for all parents and carers on the content and delivery of Health and Wellbeing in the curriculum.  Specific year groups are targeted for individual teacher talks as we have a statutory duty to inform parents of the resources and programmes at these levels within Health and Wellbeing e.g. Sex Education
