Growth Mindset. (Health and Well-being).
With Growth Mindset being a key issue for PPS, particularly looking at Resilience and better life skills to help both in and out of school…..here are some more resources. Big Deal Little Deal has already been shared after being introduced in school…have a look and see the little video and post explaining it for the kids and ourselves.
Growth Mindset pocket book for Staff and others. (This can also be purchased from Amazon if you fancy using it more yourself as some parents are now doing).
And another wonderful video which explains a lot of Growth Mindset, ‘in action’.
AUSTIN’S BUTTERFLY
P2 Art in the Botanical Gardens
Primary 2 visited the Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh. We examined lots of the plants and flowers in the hothouses and then created flower felted pictures using sheep’s wool. It was hard work- you have to cover the design in bubble wrap and rub and knead the wet wool!
The finished felted pictures are on display in our classroom. Come in and see them!
Whoops – A – Daisy Angel!
Primary 1 and Primary 2 performed their Nativity “Whoops – A – Daisy Angel” on Thursday. They put on a fantastic afternoon performance and returned to school in the evening to do it all again for Mums, Dads, friends and relatives. The children sounded amazing and looked wonderful in their costumes. Well done everyone!
