A huge thank you to all parents, carers, grandparents and friends who came along to sing some Christmas songs with the nursery, P1, P2 and P2/3 this morning and who made it to our Christmas Assembly we hope you are now feeling very festive!

P3 have just completed 8 weeks of very enjoyable football skills sessions on Thursday afternoons culminating in a mini World Cup. However, unlike the real thing, Scotland were taking part!
Primary 2/3 travelled to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh yesterday to enjoy a day of exploration and art activities. We did pencil drawings of leaves and flowers and in the afternoon used these for printing. We all came back to school with some super prints and pictures. We had a fantastic day!
During their class assembly on Thursday Primary 2/3 told their parents, the other infants and the morning nursery class all about the Katie Morag story books. They brought to life the story of Katie Morag Delivers the Mail and sang a song they had written themselves. They all spoke loudly and clearly and the acting was super. Well done P2/3!
P2/3 enjoyed a walk around the village on Tuesday, trying to spot signs warning us of danger. We were surprised by how many there were. We all enjoyed getting to play in the park on the way back too! On Thursday the P7 Junior Road Safety Officers came to talk to us about safety in the dark, especially when we are cycling. They have set us a competition to design a high visibility top. The winner gets 100 house points!
Can you make the monster dance?
Challenge: How many times can you make the monster dance within one minute.
On Wednesday afternoon and evening the infant department performed their nativity play. The children worked really hard to learn their lines and the song words. Everyone was fantastic – well done!
