A message from Laurie Daborn, Active Schools Co-ordinator.
It’s here – the new programme of what’s on and how to book is right here. and Museum, Library Services, Countryside Rangers – and other partners coming together to create lots of fun and interesting opportunities on our home turf.
Last day to respond to this survey is 30th September ’16, so please do take a few minutes to give your views. They do count! The working group will review responses and this will help shape the new Play Strategy for East Lothian. Play is the key driver for how children develop and learn so be their advocates today 🙂
All parents and carers are cordially invited to the Parent Council AGM on Monday 11th June at 7:30pm in the School.
If you have a question you would like to ask, please submit it in advance of the meeting, either via the school office or by e-mailing “firstname.lastname@example.org“. We currently have a vacancy for one parent member; if you are interested in joining the Parent Council, please speak to one of the members or come along to the AGM.
I would also like to remind you that the school will be open to parents on Monday 11th June, 2-3pm. You are welcome to visit all the classes and find out about some of the Olympic-themed work they have been doing.

In a minor change the route of the five kilometre Fun Run for Saturday 24th March has been altered.
The previous route took in the Boggs Holdings main road which lacks pedestrian footpaths. The revised route now avoids this, making it both safer and requiring fewer marshals on the day.

P5 have had a very active first term. We took advantage of the good weather and used our PE time to have several golf lessons. We practised our putting, chipping and driving skills. We had a fantastic time at the P5 basketball festival in Meadowmill and everyone scored a few baskets. The PE specialist has been teaching us new gymnastics skills and we have been using some amazing equipment. We all had a brilliant time at the Karate taster and we made lots of fabulous shakers with Sonsie Music. This term we are having rugby coaching and we will finish the block with a rugby festival at Ross High.
