Today we were continuing our dinosaur topic which includes the maths concept of measure. We measured out a T-Rex’s foot and drew it on paper. We then estimated to see how many of our shoes would fit inside one of the dinosaurs foot! You can see our estimates in the photos, some of us were very close! We had great fun and we couldn’t believe how big a T-Rex’s foot was.
In play, Tillie, Lucie and Steinar were measuring how big their cube tower was using rulers and meter sticks. We used a calculator and worked out that it was 360cm long!
We were also ordering numbers using a great game called ‘Coconut ordering’.
We hope that sports day will go ahead tomorrow and the rain will stay away! You will be contacted in the morning should we have to postpone it.
