The children took part in the British Nutrition Foundation Healthy Eating Health Challenge.
We were learning about 5 important facts.
The children said:
Having Breakfast – We had cereal for snack – Weetabix and Rice Krispies. This is important because it fills your tummy and helps your brain to work. It makes you feel better. It’s like your fuel for your body.
Drink Plenty – We drink healthy drinks. Milk is good for your bones. Water is good for your brain. Lemon and Lime water is good. You squeeze the lemon and lime juice and put it in the water. Fizzy drinks are not good for anyone. It has lots of sugar. It makes your brain fizzy!
Have Five a Day – We have been learning the difference between fruit and vegetables. We eat them because they are healthy. Carrots help you see in the dark!! Water melon is good for your eyes. They help us grow big and healthy.
Get Active – If we don’t exercise we won’t have strong bones. Exercise keeps you healthy.
Sleep Well – We wore our pyjamas to nursery and had a pyjama party. If you don’t get a good sleep you will be tired and your brain won’t work. You will feel grumpy if you don’t have a good sleep.
