Primary 1a/b and Primary 1/2
Children are provided with fruit on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On a Monday and Friday children can bring in one item of their own choice for their snack.
As we have some children in school with nut allergies we ask that your child’s snack or lunch does not contain nuts.
Milk or water can be drunk at snack time but no juice of any kind. Your child can bring in a water bottle for use during the day.
If your child does not like the choices offered in the lunch menu then please provide a packed lunch.
Only children who have paid for a Friday lunch or are on free meals will be provided with packed lunch on a Friday.
P1a/b will have gym with the P.E. specialist in Block 2&4. P1/2 will have gym in Blocks 1&3.
All children will have the opportunity to take part in physical activity each week so please ensure they have gym kit and that it is kept in school.
Gym kit – t-shirt, shorts or leggings or joggy bottoms and gym shoes. Please ensure that all items have your child’s name on them.
Outdoor shoes will be changed for gym shoes before entering the classroom only on particularly wet days.
Picking up children/After School Club
Please inform your class teacher if your child is to be picked up by another adult after school or is attending the After School Club. Either tell their class teacher in the morning, give her a note or phone the office.
A Book Bag is provided by school for reading and homework only. Please provide a school bag for other items.
Homework is given out on a Monday and returned on a Friday but children must bring their Book Bags every day as they will be needed in class to complete various tasks.
Every Monday please check the Reading Record for a homework letter detailing the task for the week. The Reading Record should be signed to show homework has been done and if you wish to write a comment you may.
Please no toys in school. There may be occasions when your child is asked to bring something to school but this would normally be detailed in their homework letter.
