open inter generational Art competition –
MADE in East Lothian
Deadline: 01 October 2018 at 06:20
we are inviting any mix of the generations to create an artwork either together or independently responding to the work of Sir William Gillies or the townscape and surroundings of Haddington.
This intergenerational art competition is part of Haddington 700 town celebrations. Sir William Gillies was born in Haddington and during his time at Edinburgh College of Art as a tutor he influenced many young artists through his dedication and approach to painting and drawing. With this in mind we thought it would be a tribute to his work to encourage different generations to create artworks together to celebrate Haddington, his home town or take inspiration from the work he created .
We’re looking fro creative partnerships that bring the generations together , mums and sons. Grand dads and granddaughters, Aunts & nephews, Nursery schools and care homes etc – the combinations are up to you.
You can find further information and guidelines by visiting our web-site www.madeineastlothian.org
The deadline is Monday 01 October 2018 at 06:20.
