Expressive Arts After School Clubs

We are continuing to offer our after-school Arts Programme at Pinkie St. Peter’s Primary School, in partnership with East Lothian Council Arts Service. This will start again in January 2020 and we are now taking on new enrolments. All activities are offered free of charge. All pupils are encouraged to attend a weekly programme of arts activities run by specialist tutors, enabling skills development in the following areas:

  • Music
  • Dance
  • Drama

Sessions run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:

P1-P2 2:45pm – 3:15pm

P3 and P4 3:20pm – 3:55pm

P5, P6 and P7 4pm–5:15pm (with childcare provided in Nurture Room 2 from when school finishes at 3:20)

Enrolment forms for children who do not currently attend a club are going home with children this week – please return the slip if you would like to enrol.

Family Coffee Morning

Our next family coffee morning is on Wednesday 6th November 9-10am in Nurture Room 1. Jade McCarter will be joining us to discuss the  benefits of story massage and positive touch.  This is something that we are hoping to offer to families at Pinkie in the future. As always, all parents, carers and families are welcome to join us for a coffee and a chat!

Raising Children with Confidence

We all want our children to grow up confident, secure and able to cope with life’s challenges. Some children manage this better than others. Ever wondered why this is and what you can do to support your child to develop good mental health and wellbeing?

We are running a Raising Children with Confidence course at Pinkie with Homestart East Lothian. Over 2000 parents and carers across Edinburgh have already attended the course and 98% found it a valuable and enjoyable experience.

This course will be running in school from Wednesday 15th January for 6 weeks, 9:30-11:30am. All parents and carers are welcome. To find out more or to book a place on the course, please get in touch with Mrs Archibald at school.
