As part of the ‘Enchanted Garden’, P6b have taken on the painting of a garden bench. Working with the Pod, the pupils have made the choice of colours and style. They also painted the bench and installed it. And the cameras were there to capture all of it.
This week P6 have been talking to PC Smith about hate crime. There are 5 brackets of hate crime! Racism ,sexuality , religious, gender and disability. Being racist means you make fun of others’ skin colour. Disability means that people may have something wrong with them BUT don’t make fun of them because of their disabilities and do not offend people because of there religion.
This week have been using watercolors to paint pictures of spheres. We used compasses to draw a circle then lightly covered it with watercolor paints then darkened it at one side then darkened a smaller bit and a smaller bit. After that we made a shadow underneath.
This week P6B have been learning about internet safety, as this week is internet safety week. We have been checking what sites could be risky, such as ones without the https at the top or how they’re asking for personal information. Did you know that the S in https stands for secure? We also learned about information about our self that’s safe to share or unsafe to share. Here are some games that we played that we think you should try.
This week P6B had their last P.E lesson with Mr Barrie. 🙁
P6B have also done Mandarin. They have learned the story about how the Chinese symbolic years got there names. Their are two animals for 2008 and 2009. The 2008 animal was a rat and the 2009 was an ox .
In art P6B have been doing roses in the style of Mackintosh. We also made a group portrait of Robert Burns.
