We have has a busy week!
We took part in a Modern Languages transition event at Musselburgh Grammar School on Tuesday, it was great to meet new people and learn new languages such as Spanish and German and find out about some of the culture.
World Book day was fun, everyone put in lots of effort and looked great! Check out some of our costumes…
We have also been thinking about Global Warming and the impact it is having on our planet and linked this with our discursive writing! We have been challenged with our thinking with algebra in Numeracy too, but are enjoying learning about it.
The dining hall today had a real buzz about it and a delicious waft of coco powder as there was the cake competition run by the ‘Drama Lammas’ and the bake sale run by a number of groups and supported by the whole of the P7 year group!
Mrs Bonnar and our chef Jill had a very challenging task to choose a winner and runner ups! Congrats to those who caught the judges eyes, and you will get your prizes next week!
A massive thank you to all those who baked and donated! The feedback from the P7’s and teachers was fantastic and today would not have been the success it was without the generosity we saw across the school today.
Mr Drysdale and Miss Christie
A quick reminder that P7 are hosting a bake sale and also a baking competition tomorrow, Friday 22nd.
If you would like to pick up a tasty treat and to support the P7 fundraising as part of their £1 challenge please bring along a little spare change. Thank you very much to those who have kindly offered to donate cakes!
Here is a very important note from the P7’s about the bake sale and competition this Friday…. all cakes baked would be very much welcomed, and remember to bring any spare change for a treat! All profit shall go to P7 Fundraising.
Cake Competition & Bake Sale
On Friday 22nd February, we are holding a baking competition.
It is really simple, all you need to do is bake a cake and enter it into the competition, along with a sign with the ingredients you have used.
It will cost 50p to enter and the cakes will be judged by Mrs Bonnar and Jill.
This is the success criteria for the bake competition.
• Home made
There will be a prize for the winner in p1-3 and p4-7.
If you don’t want to enter the competition, we are asking pupils to make a cake donation, if possible, it would be appreciated very much.
The bake sale will be held in the lunch hall.
Cakes will be priced from 20p – £1
