Kids Karate have spaces for pupils of all ages and abilities and have Karate courses available at various locations in and around Musselburgh. Leaflets are available from the school office.
Book Week Scotland are encouraging reading for enjoyment with their annual week-long celebration of reading and books. This year the event takes place from Monday 24 – Sunday 30 November 2014. Venues throughout Scotland will be joined by authors, poets, playwrights, storytellers and illustrators all helping to bring a packed programme of events and projects to life.
Musselburgh Library have produced a Treasure Train activity sheet that asks everybody to fill in a few details about their favouite books. All the returned sheets will be displayed in Musselburgh Library.
This superb mural, created by many of Pinkie St. Peter’s pupils, was unveiled today at Pinkie Farm Convenience Store. The mural depicts many scenes from local history. This fine artwork certainly brightens up the entrance for all visitors to the shop and highlights the artistic skills of Pinkie pupils.
All pupils were very kindly given a goodie bag by Pinkie Farm Shop, who are having a Kids Party tonight.
The National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCoS) are looking for new members for their various choirs. The choirs are for boys aged 10-16 with both changed and unchanged voices. Previous performances by the Choir have included BBC Proms in the Park, Edinburgh International Festival and Aberdeen International Youth Festival, as well as BBC TV and radio broadcasts.
