P1C Update!

This week we have been learning more about the human body. We made skeletons with Mr Hogben using K’nex! We knew what each part represented. We had loads of fun doing this and you can see our photos!
Emma had been to the Rainforest Biome at the Eden Project in the February holidays and brought in some photos to show us! She said she loved the cloud machine and she got wet! You can see her telling the class all about it in the photos! Maggie also brought in some photos of the rainforest she has been making at home! She was showing the class and everyone said they wanted to visit!!

We also had a visit from the SSPCA this week and they told us all about how to keep wild animals safe!

A busy week in P5/6!

We have had such a busy week with lots of different things going on throughout the school. Here are comments from some of the pupils in P5/6:

“The P6s played in a hockey tournament where different schools all around Musselburgh came to Pinkie!” – Ellie

“Pupils from Pinkie were on the walking bus for walk to school week. We picked out of a box 2 new JRSOs – Amy and Abbi-Lee. We think they are loving the responsibility!” – Rebecca and Harlie.

“In our science experiment we had 3 different bags testing different reactions to yeast. The bag with yeast, sugar and hot water had the biggest chemical reaction and the bag had lots of gas expand in it. There was so much that it almost exploded over lunchtime! ” – Iona

“We used water, soil, seeds and fertiliser to plant lettuce. We are testing to see if the fertiliser makes any difference and also the impact sun light has. We have them next to the window and by the sink.”- Odin and Jason

There was lots going on this week and it is great to see the class engage with the variety of tasks and challenges!
