The main difference between National 4 and 5 is the way in which they are assessed.
For the National 4 there is no final exam but instead you have to pass the unit assessments and complete the Value Added Assignment.
For National 5 there are unit assessments, an assignment and a final exam.
The exam is worth 60 Marks (75% of final mark) and lasts 1.5 hours. The paper is split into 3 sections each worth 20 Marks.
